I did not see the show last night (we went out to dinner with a friend instead) - besides, I find these things unbearable to watch. So, if you, like me, missed the show, but like to know who won (these movies get added to my must-see list), here is the list of winners, (with snarky commentary) courtesy of I Watch Stuff. Winners are in red text.
It seems they spread the wealth this year - no one film dominated the major categories. As an aside, based on what I have heard from friends, Wreck-It Ralph should have been nominated for Best Picture, and therefore was robbed in not winning the Best Animated Feature category.
Your 85th Annual Academy Awards Winners
February 24, 2013
Hollywood's biggest night of listing things is at last over, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences last night giving Argo the year's highest honor, The Best Film Ben Affleck Made Since at Least The Town, in Sunday night's 85th Annual Oscars. Meanwhile, Daniel Day-Lewis won Best Actor for his portrayal of historic Linkin Park frontman Abraham Linkin; Jennifer Lawrence can feel good about herself for besting both child and the elderly; and Spielberg went home thinking he should have just made fucking Schindler's Other List, if everyone's going to be like this.
