In this clip from the Sydney Writer's Festival (January, 2013), author Neil Gaiman talks about and reads from his new novel for adults, The Ocean at the End of the Lane. Gaiman is also the author of Coraline (2003), The Sandman series, beginning with The Sandman Vol. 1: Preludes & Nocturnes (New Edition), and many other books.

I make things up and write them down. Which takes us from comics (like SANDMAN) to novels (like ANANSI BOYS and AMERICAN GODS) to short stories (some are collected in SMOKE AND MIRRORS) and to occasionally movies (like Dave McKean's MIRRORMASK or the NEVERWHERE TV series, or my own short film A SHORT FILM ABOUT JOHN BOLTON).
