This talk on mindfulness as medicine by Jon Kabat-Zinn was given at the The Tucker Foundation and Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center on April 7, 2011, Spaulding Auditorium, Dartmouth College. This is a nearly 2-hour talk, but it includes newer information and perspectives.
For those who do not know Kabat-Zinn, his mindfulness-based stress reduction program, back in the 1970s, was the genesis of our current fascination with mindfulness and health, both physical and psychological.

I have enjoyed Jon Kabat-Zinn for years, and this talk is no exception. I had to chuckle at his comment about the Mormons and Utah. I am definitely a Utah Mormon, and I'm sure that just as his methods/ideas have been used successfully here in his example, I'm sure we will see them used a lot in Utah because Mormons are not close-minded. We believe in everything that is true, not just what we have been given by revelation through our prophets.
