Offering multiple perspectives from many fields of human inquiry that may move all of us toward a more integrated understanding of who we are as conscious beings.
David Cronenberg and the Cinema of the Extreme (1997)
A very old interview with Cronenberg on his use of imagery as metaphor. Although he made his reputation with films dealing with "body horror," his last couple of films (A History of Violence and Eastern Promises) have been much more rooted in reality. More than any director I can think of, Cronenberg has continually evolved and refined his vision.
