Tom Waits is one of my favorite musicians - very deserving of a place in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. The introduction from Neil Young is awesome.

The amazing thing about Waits is that many of his songs would be beautiful pop songs with a different voice, but his voice makes the often sweet melodies human and gritty - a blues soul in a spiffy new suit that's been dragged through the mud a bit.

So we spent the weekend talking about UFOs and their behavior. In the midst of all the cogitation we should recognize that Tom Waits, Earth's own visitor, has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame.

Tom, we don't where you came from but we are glad you decided to stay.

Here are a couple of classics, first up is "Chocolate Jesus"

And this is a sweet song called "Hold On" - this is the kind of song I was referring to above.
