A presentation of a new paradigm for healing which the authors have named Mindfulness-Base Somatic Psychotherapy (MBSP). This integrated approach may enable patients to get well faster as they progress through the healing process. In MBSP, emphasis is on patient participation, self-responsibility and an understanding of stress and lifestyle management, affect regulation, and the process of mind-body healing. This mind-body paradigm focuses both on the patient's core sens of self and wellness as well as the patient's presenting problem.
