TED Talks: Dan Gilbert: Why are we happy? Why aren't we happy?

This is an interesting talk on the nature of happiness (natural happiness vs. synthetic happiness). This talk vaguely touches on the issue of free will.

In this memorable talk, Dan Gilbert demonstrates just how poor we humans are at predicting (or understanding) what will make us happy. Dan Gilbert is a psychology professor at Harvard, and author of "Stumbling on Happiness".
