Upaya Dharma Podcasts - Neurobiology of We, part 3 of 9

I'm loving podcasts with Dan Siegel, especially since I am currently reading his book, The Mindful Brain, in which he proposes that mindfulness practice offers us the power to develop intrapersonal attunement, to generate a secure attachment to ourselves. Very cool, and even more so because he is not just taking a third-person perspective, but also a first-person perspective as a practitioner.

Neurobiology of We part 3 of 9

Speaker: Daniel Siegel, MD

Dan looks at the correlations between neural functioning and subjective experience. He asks intriguing questions, such as, “does the brain creates the mind or vice versa?” And “how does awareness correlate with neural firing? He continues weaving brain anatomy with responses, including awareness and attachment, as defined in healthy psychological terms.
