Beyond Intellectualism: On becoming an anti-intellectual intellectual - Robert Wright

Cool post from Robert Wright on a topic that no longer seems so relevant as it may have once been - the anti-intellectual intellectual. However, Wright is looking back to behavioral psychologist BF Skinner - who was highly intelligent and dismissive of anyone who did not see the "wisdom" of his behavioral model. I guess in that sense he was anti-intellectual.

In the US, anti-intellectualism has become an ideal - too bad we forgot to add the intellectual part at the end. Talking heads such as Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Ed Schultz all seem to reject intellectualism - the downside is that they are far from intellectual.

But I digress.
