Interesting discussion from FORA.tv, posted at the Institute for Ethics & Emerging Technologies. Personally, I say yes. Take them off the black market, tax the hell out of them, and use the money spent on arresting users and putting them in prison to treat addicts who want to get clean.

Dr. Alex Wodak is the Director of the Alcohol and Drug Service at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney. He is also President of the International Harm Reduction Association and the author of Drug Prohibition: A Call for Change.
