Allen Ginsberg's "America"
Someone took an old audio recording of Ginsberg reading "America," seemingly for the first time since he mentions it is unfinished, and added images of Ginsberg taken over the years.
This is a poem from a young man who was institutionalized for being gay, for wanting to be who he was born to be. The poem is angry, but really, it is more hurt -- as we all know that anger is a defense against feeling hurt.
