Spring in the Sonoran Desert

We are having a beautiful spring in the Sonoran Desert this year. Some late rain last month and warm sunny days have brought the wildflowers out all over the desert. Here are a few pictures I took this morning on the weekly I walk I take with some friends.


The above photo is an image of the valley we hiked into, off to the west of Sabino Canyon, toward Cathedral Rock. Below are some photos of the local flora.













I often complain about the lack of rain and the often unbearable heat, but this time of year, the desert is a beautiful place to live.
