I have been doing a lot of reading of late in the "psychology of the soul," and I find myself really drawn to this area of experience and how having access to the soul can really help alleviate a lot of suffering.
I am continually grateful for the monsoon season here in the desert. It's amazing how this brief period of rain can sustain the desert for the better part of a year.
And finally, I am grateful for those of you who read this blog, even though most people seldom comment. I appreciate your visits to check up on what is happening here.
What are you grateful for today?

I agree with your sentiments, here. I hope nobody finds out, tho. We might get tagged as Hindus.
ReplyDeleteI am reluctant to use the word 'soul', for some reason. I like the idea of us being reflections of the moon in pools of water. Our lives, trapped in this body, keep us apart from what we've forgotten: that we are each the whole of consciousness.
I am just a humble Buddhist with some sort of Zeus complex.
I'm grateful for your blog, of course. One of the best subscriptions in my reader. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Robert -- Thanks -- I enjoy Simra.net as well.

Hey Tom,
ReplyDeleteSoul has been derided for far too long in my opinion -- it's time to reclaim the truth of who we are as human beings.
I had a writing teacher way back who refused to let anyone use the word "soul" in a poem. Buffoon.
Anyway -- glad you agree -- I suspect there are more of us than not.
Peace,
Bill
