Scorsese Finally Wins Oscar for Director and Picture

Martin Scorsese won the Oscar for Best Director and Best Picture for The Departed. Finally. After not getting the award for Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, or Goodfellas -- three of the finest films ever made -- it was about time the Academy recognize his brilliance.

The night's other winners included:

BEST ACTRESS: Helen Mirren, "The Queen"
