Alone
the quiet scent of her perfume
clings to the sheets
outside the night is fragranced
by a gentle rain
sleeping alone feels like sorrow
after the taste of her skin
the soft rhythm of rain soothes
my craving for more
soon enough, it whispers, soon enough
until only the silence remains

Very nice.....I assume this is yours?
ReplyDeleteHey Gary,
ReplyDeleteThanks -- yeah, it's mine. Once upon a time in a life long, long ago I was a poet. Step by step, trying to get that back.
Peace,
Bill
You should definitely invite that back into your life. It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Gary -- I'm working on it. Having a new muse helps. :)
