Poem: William Blake

In the current issue of Shambhala Sun, there is part of a "spiritual autobiography" by Allen Ginsburg in which he mentions how this particular Blake poem haunted him during his early awakening (through Buddhism and drugs). I'd not read it in years, but I can see why it might have influenced Ginsburg.

The Sick Rose

O Rose thou art sick.
The invisible worm,
That flies in the night
In the howling storm:

Has found out thy bed
Of crimson joy:
And his dark secret love
Does thy life destroy.
